In director Tigmanshu Dhulia's biographical drama, Pan Singh Tomar (Irfan Khan) goes from star runner (as the Indian National Games steeplechase champion for seven years in a row) to celebrated brigand and rebel when life after sports fails to unfold as planned. After a stint in the military, Tomar returns to his village, where he faces social injustice that leaves him disenchanted ... and leads him to join Robin Hood-style bandits the Baaghi.
