Lovestruck undergrad Wyatt Trips (Paul Rudd) suspects that his girlfriend (Christine Taylor) is cheating on him, so he sends her a breakup letter complete with a "fake" used condom and a posed picture of himself with his stripper friend (Reese Witherspoon). But after learning that he was mistaken about his girlfriend's infidelity, he's got to intercept the letter -- cross country -- from the mailman before it gets into the "wrong" hands!
