Monte Hale (Monte Hale), his sister Gloria (Lorna Gray) and his friend Danny (Robert Blake), along with Monte's horse, Pardner, yearn to break into the Western movie business. They arrive on a film set, where Pardner's nifty tricks gain notice. After being cast as a singing cowboy, Monte thinks his career is on its way -- but jealous star George Sheridan (John Dehner) has other ideas.
