Richard Wilson creates an award-winning character with the cantankerous Victor Meldrew, a man convinced that the world is crazy -- and that he's its only sane inhabitant. In the first season of this long-running BBC sitcom, Victor is forced into retirement a bit earlier than he had planned when the company replaces him with a computer. But his newfound life of leisure seems to draw the nuts out of the woodwork.
