Fresh out of journalism school, Kat (Marguerite Moreau) eagerly sets off on her first assignment: tracking down a legendary big-wave surfer and filming a documentary about her search. But despite a dream locale -- Maui -- the job offers more frustrations than rewards, with her boss hitting on her, a subject who has no desire to be found and a guide whose mental health is rapidly disintegrating. And then Kat lands on the FBI's Most Wanted List.
