In this fact-based film, Sally Field plays the American wife of an Iranian doctor (Alfred Molina) living in the United States. When Molina gets homesick, he convinces a reluctant Field and their young daughter to accompany him to Iran … and then decides they should stay. Since women have few rights in Iran, Field must covertly find a way out of the country for her and her daughter.
