Rick Kane is an 18-year-old surfing champion from Arizona who's spending his summer in Hawaii -- and hoping to fulfill his ultimate dream of riding the perilous waves of Hawaii's legendary North Shore. Gregory Harrison plays his mentor, Chandler, a 1960s "soul surfer" who abhors the '80s "shredders" -- hot-doggers who ski the sea for fame and money. North Shore was filmed on location in Hawaii and features several real-life surfing champions.
