This film-within-a-film stars Edward Albert as Alex, a filmmaker shooting a movie about a man with the same name as his (played by Robert Merrill) whose marriage to the lovely Cheryl (Janine Turner) has gone from passion to passivity and led him to look up an old flame, Suzanne. Is the real Alex channeling his own marital frustrations? It's possible, considering his wife's (Jennifer Hetrick) name is Cheryl, and his ex is Suzanne (Kate Jackson)!
