A poor law student, Martin (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), takes a job as the lone night watchman at the city morgue to earn some easy cash. But his cushy job gets complicated when a serial killer starts keeping the morgue busy at night. As the atrocious crimes unfold, all clues point to Martin, who becomes the police's prime suspect. The eerie twists and turns leave a terrified Martin fighting to stay awake -- wide awake -- for his life!
