Aunt Tibby (Janet Henfry) tsk-tsks when young Edward (Joe Prospero) is shipped off to spend the summer with his Great-Uncle Silas (Albert Finney), a rough-talking widower who's rumored to be a drunk and a lecher. But as the summer wears on, Edward finds an unconventional father figure. Sue Johnston and Charlotte Rampling also star in this "Masterpiece Theatre" production based on the short stories by H.E. Bates.
