Spy Gloria Shaeffer (Dyan Cannon) is frequently working on assignments far from home, and her daughter Alison (Jayne Brook) resents her for it. Gloria is unable to reveal the nature of her career to Alison, but while the two are vacationing in Azores, they're abducted by felon Gustavo Vasquez (David Palffy). To ensure that they both get out alive, Gloria must come clean and tell Alison that she's an undercover CIA operative.
