In addition to rare vintage clips from a boom period in Hollywood history, the program includes interviews with critic David Thomson, film studies professor Jeanine Basinger, writer-director Paul Schrader, actress Marian Seldes, Borzage's last wife, and his biographer, Herve Dumont.
