In this live-action version of one of China's greatest legends, Hua Mulan's (Wei Zhao) aging father is called into the army during an invasion. Fearing for his life, Mulan disguises herself as a man and takes his place. Despite her inexperience, Mulan proves to be a skilled warrior and a valuable asset to the Chinese army. Kun Chen co-stars as a fellow soldier who captures Mulan's heart. Jun Hu and Jaycee Chan also appear.
