Dr. Herman Tarnower (Ben Kingsley) became famous after creating the popular Scarsdale diet in the early 1980s. But his constant infidelity caused an enormous rift in his long-term relationship with prep-school headmistress Jean Harris (Annette Bening). This HBO movie tells the true story of the headline-garnering murder that resulted when the refined but mentally unstable Harris shot Tarnower. Co-stars includes Cloris Leachman and Ellen Burstyn.
