This sequel to the 1994 PBS miniseries is marked by an addictive, outrageous comedy that's given the series an almost cultlike following. Set in 1970s San Francisco, the show continues to revolve around the lovelorn residents of 28 Barbary Lane -- including the bewildered but aspiring Mary Ann Singleton, the libidinous Brian Hawkins, the marijuana-growing Mrs. Madrigal and many other fascinating characters.
