Introducing a host of new characters, the sixth season of the cherished BBC series continues the chronicle of the MacDonalds and Glenbogle. Archie's brother Paul (Lloyd Owen) becomes the estate's new master, and immediately sets out to modernize it, rankling Golly (Alexander Morton), who still holds with tradition. Meanwhile, Paul is tormented by Lexie (Dawn Steele), who has returned from New Zealand, leaving husband Archie behind.
