For 57-year-old Hal (Dabney Coleman) and his 39-year-old wife, Julia (Jane Curtin), life as a career couple is blissful. But when the alarm on Julia's biological clock awakens her maternal desires, the pair are in for more surprising changes than just dirty diapers. As they await the pitter-patter of baby's feet, Hal grudgingly faces raising a second family, and Julia gets a case of the pre-labor jitters.
