When French cop Alain Moreau (Jean-Claude Van Damme) learns that the slain twin brother he never knew, Mikhail, was a criminal who had some juicy information on the gangsters, FBI agents and drug dealers in his world, he decides to seek vengeance for his sibling's death. Taking on his brother's identity, Moreau soon hooks up with Mikhail's girlfriend, Alex Minetti (Natasha Henstridge), and the two work together to bring down Mikhail's killers.
