The world of happily married family man D.K. Malhotra (Naseeruddin Shah) turns upside down when he learns he has a son, Rahul (Jugal Hansraj), the result of a brief affair years earlier. After Rahul's mother passes away, D.K. takes the boy in -- which creates a huge rift in the Malhotra household. Shabana Azmi portrays D.K.'s resentful spouse, and Supiya Pathak plays the other woman in this 1983 Bollywood tearjerker helmed by Shekhar Kapur.
