An emotionally distant father attempts to reconnect with the son he abandoned in director Adolfo Aristarain's cerebral drama. After his estranged son (Juan Diego Botto) tries to commit suicide, Argentine expatriate Martín (Federico Luppi) agrees to let the troubled teen live with him in Spain. Though the boy's father tries to reach out to him, Martín is unable to bond with anyone in his life -- including his young girlfriend (Cecilia Roth).
