Forced at gunpoint to marry feisty pioneer Mary Stuart Cherne (Eleanor Parker), 18th-century trapper Bushrod Gentry (Robert Taylor) escapes the trap of matrimony by fleeing to the North Country -- but his new bride is hot on his trail. Throughout their journey, Bushrod and Mary take turns rescuing each other from the continual threat of Indians. This rollicking comedy disguised as a frontier adventure also stars Victor McLaglen as Mary's father.
