In the thick of World War II, the Chinese government recruits whip-wielding adventuress Fok Ming-Ming (Michelle Yeoh) to save Lord Youda (Lowell Lo), the gutless leader of a Mongolian city under attack by a battalion of Japanese invaders. Along the way, Fok thrashes some thieves, engages in a dogfight and rescues a vagabond (Yee Tung-Shing) from certain death in this rollicking Hong Kong action flick.
