In his first lead role, Dustin Hoffman portrays Internal Revenue Service agent Jason Fister. After deported mobster Mike Madigan (Cesar Romero) kicks the bucket in Italy, the U.S. Department of the Treasury sends Fister to retrieve the money Madigan owes in back taxes. But when Fister meets Madigan's daughter (Elsa Martinelli) in Rome, the two become the Mafia's prime target. Perennial big-screen gangster George Raft costars in this comic caper.
