Put out to pasture during a period of uneasy peace, the Superdimensional Fortress Macross is reactivated after forces identified as Zentraedi invade Earth. Caught up in the action is reporter Hibiki Kanzaki, whose association with a Zentraedi princess places him in peril but also reveals the truth behind the invasion. Can Hibiki get the word to the military complex in time to save the planet?
