Gregory Peck stars as MacKenna, a sheriff who happens upon a map showing the location of a cache of Apache gold. When vicious outlaw Colorado (Omar Sharif) kidnaps MacKenna, the sheriff must lead him and a motley group of adventurers to the riches while trying to keep himself and girlfriend Camilla Sparv alive.
