Maborosi

Haunted by the disappearance of her grandmother years ago, and distraught over the apparent suicide of her husband, a young mother named Yumiko (Makiko Esumi) eventually finds love again in the form of a fisherman (Takashi Naitô) who's also lost his spouse. But when Yumiko discovers that her husband's death may not have been self-inflicted, old doubts and pains resurface. Hirokazu Koreeda directs this meditative, award-winning drama.
