Humor continues to heal the wounds inflicted by war in this celebrated 1970s series starring Alan Alda as Hawkeye Pierce, Wayne Rogers as Trapper John, McLean Stevenson as Col. Blake, Gary Burghoff as Radar and Loretta Swit as Hotlips -- medics and soldiers of a platoon stuck fighting a battle reminiscent of Vietnam and Korea. This season, Hawkeye tries to talk peace; enemy fire sends the troops currying to a cave; and Radar prepares to leave.
