Legendary director Alan J. Pakula helms this hidden gem from the 1970s about Walter (Timothy Bottoms), an aimless young man bicycling through Spain. Along the way, he meets Lila (Maggie Smith) and immediately falls in love with her despite being many years her junior. Although she rebuffs him at first, Lila soon gives in to Walter's charm. But their budding relationship is cut short when Lila learns that she's terminally ill.
