Vince (Armand Assante) is a widowed 49-year-old Brooklyn bartender whose life revolves around caring for his leukemia-stricken daughter. He's also still grieving for his wife and profoundly embittered by the collapse of his singing career 30 years ago, which left him nearly broke. Now, a new love (Diane Venora) and a reunion with his middle-aged ex-bandmates revive Vince's enthusiasm and encourage him to appreciate his past.
