Silent-screen legend Mary Pickford is tough slum girl Annie Rooney, who faces a heart-wrenching dilemma when her lover (William Haines) is accused of attempting to kill Annie's policeman father. Enraged, Annie's brother hunts the accused slayer and shoots him down in the street. Annie rushes to the hospital to offer her own blood for a life-saving transfusion … but the transfusion may very well cost Little Annie her life!
