Three Crowns of the Sailor

For the price of three crowns, a mysterious sailor (Jean-Bernard Guillard) agrees to relay his adventures at sea to a young student (Philippe Deplanche) who's willing to pay. But the gripping story that unfolds is a bit more than the listener bargained for. Acclaimed filmmaker Raoul Ruiz (Genealogies of a Crime, The Golden Boat) helms this deftly layered drama based on the Chilean myth of El Caleuche -- or "the Ship of the Dead."
