This classic Western from director Henry Hathaway paints a bloody picture of a battle for the ages. When Lynn Hayden (Randolph Scott) moves his family from Kentucky to the Nevada desert after the Civil War, he finds himself in the midst of another skirmish. The conflict ignites when a clan of sheepherders starts rustling cattle, too, stepping on the toes of a family already in the business. With livelihoods at stake, no one deigns to back down.
