Gabriel (Mathieu Amalric), an aspiring novelist, is forced to reevaluate his personal life when his friend Adrien (Francois Cluzet) suddenly becomes ill. With his career in dire straits and his relationships with two women floundering, Gabriel takes stock of what's important to him and resolves to steer his life in a new direction. Veteran director Olivier Assayas's masterful visual touches make this French drama a must-see.
