Hoteliers Paul (François Cluzet) and Nelly (Emmanuelle Béart) seem to have it all: a fairy-tale marriage, a successful business and idyllic surroundings. Trouble is, Paul suspects the alluring Nelly of having a tryst. His irrational distrust -- exacerbated by alcohol and barbiturates -- grows into dementia, to the point where he envisions her cheating with every guy in town, and soon his fanatical spying turns their marriage into hell on earth.
