Kurt & Courtney

  (1997)
Director Nick Broomfield chronicles Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, the grunge icon who died in 1994 at age 27. The film charts his rise to fame, his drug-addled relationship with Courtney Love and the conspiracy theories surrounding his death. Several sources -- some of whom admittedly hold grudges -- allege that Love arranged Cobain's murder. An outraged Love helped get the movie yanked from the 1998 lineup at the Sundance Film Festival.
