A concert held in June 2007 celebrates the 80th birthday of world-renowned maestro Kurt Masur, who has led orchestras in France, Germany and the United States during his storied career. In this program hosted by Harald Schmidt, Masur conducts the Gewandhaus Orchestra as it performs the music of Bizet, Brahms, Bernstein, Gershwin, Jobim and more. Tracks include the prelude from "Carmen," "The Girl from Ipanema" and "Mambo" from "West Side Story."
