This BBC drama adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel captures life in a politically divided Scotland circa 1751, as seen through the eyes of orphan Davie Balfour (James Pearson). Setting out to discover the world -- and to make his claim to a family inheritance -- the young Davie learns about life by immersing himself in it. Along the way, he crosses paths with a regiment of British soldiers and a band of bloodthirsty slave traders.
