After failing to find steady work in Manila, prodigal son Narsing (Philip Salvador) returns to his provincial village with his city-born wife (Cecille Castillo) in this award-winning drama. When Narsing's abusive father (Vic Silayan) makes a play for his son's new wife, emotions erupt and tragedy ensues. Meanwhile, Narsing's downtrodden sister (Grace Amilbangsa) escapes the village confines to marry the man of her choice.
