New Yorker Drew Pettite (Erik Palladino) creates and publishes a comic book character named Justice, intended to mirror the kind of everyday heroes that sprang up in the wake of the 9/11 tragedy. Partly based on a down-to-earth schoolteacher Drew meets at a neighborhood basketball court, the character soon creates buzz and leads Drew into some seminal discussions of whether violence and vigilantism can truly be called heroic.
