This eccentric film stars Christian Slater as a stranger who's on the brink of taking his life when he undergoes an epiphany. His car breaks down while he's driving through the Appalachians, as he mulls over his next move, he meets the locals, who realize he's about to kill himself and decide he's deserving of love and compassion. Their good deed helps him pull away from the edge, but will they be as nice when he reneges on his tragic decision?
