The offspring of a British clergyman, John Wesley -- the theologian and evangelist who founded Methodism -- is a key figure in Christian history. This biographical drama traces the salient events of Wesley's life, beginning with his rescue from a burning house to his college days at Oxford University and failed mission in America. Known as a tireless preacher and planner, Wesley also wrote prolifically about religious and historical topics.
