As Season 2 of "Joan of Arcadia" opens, Joan (Amber Tamblyn) is returning to school after a summer of therapy, determined (but ultimately unable) to ignore the requests of God, who continues to appear before her in a variety of forms. Mary Steenburgen plays Joan's art teacher mom; Joe Mantegna plays her detective dad; and Jason Ritter plays her wheelchair-bound brother in this show about a modern-day Joan of Arc.
