In life, Okada Izo was a ruthless samurai swordsman who was recruited and trained as a soldier by a powerful Japanese warlord. But after earning the moniker "Izo the Slaughterer," he was executed for his notorious bloodlust, and his spirit now roams between heaven and hell. Whiling away eternity with his trusty sword in tow, Izo seeks his vengeance the only way he knows how -- by killing every human he encounters.
