A magical island known as Horai houses a group of half-demons living under the brutal rule of the Four War Gods -- the Shitoushin -- in this fourth installment of the popular anime story. Ai, a young half-demon who's escaped to try to help his people, returns to Horai with potential saviors Inu-Yasha, Sesshomaru and Kikyo in tow. But on the island, Inu-Yasha will face the powerful Shitoushin -- and the past he left behind a half-century ago.
