Nebbish rent-a-cop John Brown (Matthew Broderick) clings to life after he's mangled in an explosion perpetrated by the iniquitous Dr. Claw (Rupert Everett). Not to worry … robotics expert Brenda Bradford (Joely Fisher) to the rescue. She replaces John's limbs with a cornucopia of gadgets, transforming him into crime-fighting machine Inspector Gadget! Vowing revenge, Gadget will need all his mettle -- and metal -- to bring down Dr. Claw.
