Ray (Harvey Keitel), a hard-drinking get-rich-quick schemer, struggles to raise his daughters (Fairuza Balk and Elizabeth Moss) after the death of his wife (Kelly Lynch). With his eldest yearning to go to college, Ray gets involved in a potentially lucrative deal but soon thinks better of the plan -- is it now too late to back out? Anthony Drazen directed this poignant drama adapted from the novel of the same name by Sheila Ballantyne.
