Michael (Markus Redmond) has just been branded with a genius IQ, but his family seems to go out of their way to make him feel unimportant. Even his mother (Whoopi Goldberg) refuses to encourage him. But when he enters a high school drama class, Michael discovers that there's more to life than just the support of his family.
