House of the Sleeping Beauties

Edmond (Vadim Glowna), a widower in his 60s, learns about a type of brothel in which men can pay to lie in bed next to a young, beautiful, sleeping woman. The women are drugged before each appointment to ensure that they won't wake up. Edmond finds great solace in his visits, even when he learns a shocking secret about the place. Glowna also wrote and directed this adaptation of Yasunari Kawabata's novella.
