Widower and Auschwitz survivor Joe Rabin (Kirk Douglas, in a rare TV role) reluctantly joins his daughter, Marcy (Pam Dawber), on a trip to the 1981 World Gathering of Holocaust Survivors in Jerusalem. Once there, he seeks out Leah (Chana Eden), a woman he loved during wartime. Meanwhile, Marcy embarks on an affair with an Israeli security officer (Yoram Gal) in this tear-jerking romantic melodrama.
