James Cagney gets to demonstrate his jujitsu skills in this World War II propaganda film that tells the true story of Nick Condon (Cagney), an American newspaper editor in prewar Imperialist Japan. When Condon gets wind of Japanese plans to invade Manchuria, China, he tries to thwart the invasion. A heavily disguised Robert Armstrong plays Tojo; Sylvia Sidney co-stars; and Frank Lloyd (Mutiny on the Bounty) directs.
